Knowledge of B.Sc. Nursing Students Regarding Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19) Pandemic

Abstract


The purpose of the study was to assess the knowledge of BSc Nursing students regarding
corona virus disease (covid-19) pandemic in a selected college of nursing, Kottayam district,
Kerala. The instruments used in this study were structured knowledge questionnaire to assess the
knowledge level of BSc Nursing students regarding corona virus disease and baseline variables.
For assessing the knowledge level 68 students were selected by using random sampling
technique. The findings revealed that, 8.82% [6] belong to poor level of knowledge,66.18% (45)
belong to moderate level of knowledge, 25% (17) belong to good level of knowledge. None of
them belonged to the category of very good level of knowledge. Study shows that the obtained
chi-square values were not significant which indicate there is no association between baseline
variables and knowledge level.
