This study is to identify the impact of online classes among parents of nursing students during lockdown period. The way parents help their kids at home is the best indicator of students’ success towards their education. This study investigates how parents are engaged in their children's online learning since the students need parents’ support not only for their academic works, but also parents need to inculcate love of learning throughout their children's life. The objective of this study is to find out the impact of online classes among parents of nursing students during pandemic. A descriptive method and survey was conducted for this study. Descriptive statistics was used for data analysis. The totals sample size was 81 parents of nursing students who participated in the study from selected nursing colleges in Madurai. Ethical conducts were maintained. Semi structured internet delivered questionnaire, in both English and Tamil version was prepared by the investigators on collaboration, and the survey was sent through Google forms. The results revealed that majority of the parents face the virtual class as a burden for them in terms of technical issues and availability of gadgets, but they tend to help their child adopt to this learning skills at home environment. This study concludes that parents are not meant to serve as the online course instructors, instead, they should offer facilitative support to the learning structure, and help the child achieve his or her lesson goals.
