Cross Sectional Study to Evaluate the Satisfaction of Online Nursing Lectures during COVID - 19 Lockdown Periods among Nursing Students in India

Abstract


As schools and colleges are closed, more and more people stay at home. So, online learning seems to be growing exponentially during COVID-19 lockdown periods in India. E-learning is a challenge to both teachers and learners over technology and access, but it is keeping everyone busy with learning, attending new video lectures and doing assignments. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of online nursing lectures during COVID-19 lockdown periods among nursing students in India. Methodology: Cross-sectional online survey method was used for collecting data from nursing students across India from 23rd to 30th May 2020. Google survey form was developed by the researcher to collect data. Sampling technique used in this study was convenience sampling method. Collected data was analysed with the help of descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: Majority of the samples 487((34.4%) were unsatisfied, samples who were with reasonable satisfaction were 405(28.6%) and very few samples 68(4.8%) were highly satisfied.
