HIV/AIDS in Pregnancy
Abstract
Human immunodeficiency virus infection and acquired immune deficiency syndrome (HIV/AIDS) is a condition caused due to infection of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). The mode of transmittance of HIV from mother to children is during pregnancy, during delivery or through breast milk feeding. First Post exposure prophylaxis dose within 72 hours, ideally within 2 hours.
