Osteoarthritis and Menopause

Abstract


Life undergoes in many stages. Menopause is one of the significant stages in lifespan. During this stage, women undergo rapid changes in bio-psychosocial sphere of health. Due to decreased estrogen in women causes many deficiencies like changes in sexual urge and physically ‘osteoarthritis’. Many research studies and clinical trials support the significant linkage between these two variables. Hormone replacement therapy is one of the treatment modalities to reduce morbidity and mortality.
