End HIV/AIDS by 2030—Universal Preparedness, Global Solidarity, Shared Responsibility

Abstract


Human immunodeficiency virus / acquired immune deficiency syndrome (HIV/AIDS) is a chronic, lethal and hopeless condition that arouse due to disruption of immune system. According to National Health Policy -2015, growth of HIV/AIDS should have been zero by 2007, but our system has failed drastically in achieving it. Now, as we are in the last decade of fight against HIV/AIDS as per declaration by the United Nations, we have plans, proposals and strategies those are affordable, accessible and accountable to produce prodigious results accomplishing ultimate aims, provided, resources (time, money, material and manpower) are timely available. This paper reviews the methodology and nursing responsibilities in task to achieve the campaign “Getting to Zero”.
