A STUDY TO ASSESS THE KNOWLEDGE OF NURSING STUDENTS REGARDING MEDICO LEGAL ISSUES IN SELECTED NURSING COLLEGE AT MYSURU

Abstract


Objectives: To assess the level of knowledge among Nursing Students regarding Medico legal issues in nursing. Methods: The study was conducted in JSS College of Nursing Mysuru. The research design adopted was on descriptive survey design. The sample consist of 60 Nursing students were selected by using non probability convenient sampling technique. Structured questionnaire used to assess the knowledge level among nursing students. The findings revealed that the mean of knowledge score of B.Sc. nursing students that majority of the sample 13(21.6%) had poor knowledge, 45(75%) had average knowledge and 2(3.3%) had good knowledge regarding medico legal issues.
