An Insight into Industrial Automation
Abstract
Automation is the process of following a pre-defined sequence of operations with or without human labour, by using specialized equipment and machines that perform and control manufacturing processes. Automation in full sense can only be achieved through the combined use of devices, techniques, and equipment capable of perceiving the manufacturing process, making decisions regarding the changes, needed in the operation, and control.
