Green Synthesis of Metallic Nanoparticles and Their Use as Nano Minerals in Poultry Nutrition

Sophia Inbaraj

Abstract

Nanoparticles have become a part and parcel of our daily life in our food, refrigerators, cosmetics etc. However, in poultry production, the use of nanoparticles is still in their benign stage. Nano minerals have various implications in poultry production ranging from growth promotion, antioxidant activity, antimicrobial activity and reduced environmental pollution. The risks associated with nanoparticle handling, consumption and disposal are yet to be researched and a regulatory body is required at the national and international level.
