Abstract

A project that tries to simplify the procedure for taking attendance in an organisation is the RFID-based Internet of Things attendance system. To track attendance, the project makes use of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology. An RFID reader, RFID tags, a buzzer, a microcontroller, and a server (Google Sheet) make up the system. An RFID tag is provided to each employee, who uses it to sign in and out of the office. The microcontroller receives the data from the RFID reader once it scans the tag. The server (Google Sheet) receives the data from the microcontroller and updates the attendance records. The technology replaces the need for manual attendance tracking and is simple to use. Managers can track attendance and spot any irregularities because the attendance data is provided in real-time. Reports produced by the system can also be utilised for processing payroll and other administrative chores. Compared to conventional attendance tracking techniques, the RFID-based IoT attendance system has a number of benefits. It improves attendance accuracy and lowers the risk of mistakes. Additionally, it cuts administrative expenses and saves time. Overall, the RFID-based Internet of Things timekeeping system is a dependable, effective, and affordable option for tracking presence in businesses.
