Underwater Optical Communication System (UWOC): A brief Survey Report and Literature Review

Kundan Kumar, Priya Jha, Seema Shukla

Abstract

Underwater optical communication system is most promising solution for underwater communication, and it provide high data rate along with license free advantage. Underwater optical wireless communication is of extraordinary enthusiasm to the military, business, and the researcher network, as it assumes a significant job in strategic observation, contamination checking, oil control and upkeep, seaward investigations, environmental change observing, and oceanography examine. UWOC are highly demandable technology in recent year. Many applications of UWOC are proposed for different type of communication system. Underwater optical communication system (UWOC) has huge advantage of transmission bandwidth and provide higher data rate.

Keywords: Optical wireless, underwater optical communication system, light beam propagation, modulation and demodulation.
