Abstract

In this research, we proposed an enhanced Arduino UNO-based alcohol detection method for use in a car's ignition locking system. The output is transformed into a readout that represents the breath alcohol level of the breath sample using a microcontroller. This study is utilised as a component of an overall ignition locking system for cars that forbids driving when inebriated. When a driver exceeds the legal limit after consuming alcohol while operating a vehicle, the vehicle slows down until it comes to a stop. The technology is affordable and simple to install in the majority of autos. The project provides a solution to the growing problem of drunk driving, which is a major cause of road accidents and fatalities. The suggested solution has the ability to prevent several fatalities and lessen the number of accidents brought on by drunk driving.
