Abstract

The Unified power flow controller is very simple and economical Flexible AC Transmission device. This is ability to controlled real and reactive power of transmission lines. While controlling voltage of bus to there is connect. UPFC being a both variable power system controller it is necessary to analyze its effect on power system operation. Its aim is to the performance of the damping power oscillations in unified power flow controller to using PSCAD-EMTDC software. The decoupled control system has been designed of the shunt inverter to control UPFC bus voltage and the DC link capacitor voltage. Series inverter of a UPFC controls the real power flow in the transmission line. This is associated with using a high gain PI controller for series inverter UPFC to control the real power flow in a transmission line is the presence of low damping.
