Biometric Fingerprinting and Face Recognition Based Security System
Abstract
ABSTRACT
There are several applications of biometric and face recognition based security system like industries, offices and colleges or homes. This project is an amalgamation of “BT” and “ESD”. The most important part of this system is the fingerprint sensor. Fingerprints of the person is detected using biometric sensor to detect fingerprint. The techniques used for detecting fingerprint are ultrasonic, optical method or thermal. In this paper, fingerprint sensor is used. The blocks of the proposed system are microcontroller, fingerprint module, keypad, LCD display and the python language are used for programming. The fingerprint module is used where the user will have to place finger on the optical sensor. The uniqueness of the fingerprint and face recognition part provides the system high level security than other security systems. Main advantage of a biometric system is that it does not change or get lost with respect to time. Many body parts, personal characteristics and imaging methods have been used for biometric systems such as fingers, hands, feet, eyes, ears and nose.
