Analysis of High-speed Defuzzifiers in Heterogeneous Ensemble Models for the Task of Controlling a Robotic Manipulator

Abstract


This article proposes high-speed defuzzifiers as part of the fuzzy inference subsystem in a heterogeneous ensemble model based on the area ratio method. By reducing the number of computational operations, the performance of the area ratio method is increased. The simulation model of the defuzzifiers is designed as a parallel-pipeline device for implementation in a programmable logic integrated circuit of the Xilinx Spartan 3e family. Experimental studies have shown that the computation time for a precise value in defuzzification is 130 ns.
