Abstract

In the world of Internet of Things, when we have all the technologies to revolutionize our life, it is a great idea to develop a system which can be controlled and monitored from anywhere. There are many types of good security systems and cameras out there for home security, but they are much expensive so we build a low-cost simple Arduino-based intruder alert system, which not only alert us through a voice module but also saves the picture of intruder to the cloud when it detects any. A PIR sensor is used to detect the presence of any intruder and an Arduino camera module is used to capture the images when the presence is detected. Whenever anyone or an intruder comes in the range of PIR sensor, PIR sensor triggers the Arduino camera. Arduino triggers the Arduino camera to click the picture of intruder and save it. After this, an email is sent which contains the message notifying the intrusion and the image is send to the webpage created containing the date and time of the intrusion using a Wi-Fi module.
