Haile Belete Shama, Huseyin Gokcekus

Abstract

Ethiopia has multipart of geography, diversified atmosphere, and huge amount of surface water assets. The Spatial and temporal variation of surface water assets are categorized in different-climate contexts rainfall of a nation. A large portion of the surface water resources available to be occupied the flood their environments among the three standard stormy months (June to August). Although it desires more detailed examination accordingly to the existing data, the country has to be around 123.95 Billion cubic meter of water sources obtain from the surface water. It can conceivably to produce 3.8 million ha of water system and 3703 MW hydropower has been generated and the country will have been generated of 19727 MW Hydropower for the future. This part of studies and demonstrations of the Surface water assets of country and the diverse difficulties looked throughout water segments to add its monetary improvement for effective use of the country surface water resources.
