A Review on Detection of Diabetic Biomarkers Using Bioinformatics Tools

Dolly Sharma

Abstract

ABSTRACT

Diabetes Mellitus, a metabolic disorder, in which pancreatic beta cells hinders the production and secretion of insulin hormone. Diabetes mellitus is a condition of metabolic dysregulation, which during the onset is diagnosed as hyperglycemia that consequently results in the damage to blood vessels resulting in many complications which are long lasting. Presently, this disease has become pandemic where 72 million populations from South East Asia are sufferers and 46% of the individuals are untreated. In order to minimize the rate of diabetic patients, many drugs are available in the market which target the specific biomarkers. New techniques and tools have been discussed in this review to identify the new biomarkers of the disease. These techniques are used by industries to identify the drug targets.
