The "Forts of India" convey the tale of our country's great past and are responsible for making it popular among tourists as they stand as evidence of a beautiful past and excellent craftsmanship. Some of the finest specimens of Indian art, architecture, and culture may be seen in Rajasthan, also referred to as the "Land of Kings." The Hill Forts of Rajasthan are a collection of six enormous and stunning forts that may be found in the cities of Chittorgarh, Kumbhalgarh, Sawai Madhopur, Jhalawar, Jaipur, and Jaisalmer. In 2013, UNESCO designated these forts as a World Heritage Site. One can attest to the stupendous magnificence and beauty of the forts and palaces famed for their imposing design and impenetrable walls. Whether it is the enormous Chittorgarh Fort or the graceful lake Palace of Udaipur, the renowned Amber Fort in Jaipur, the regal Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur, the Jaisalmer fort, also known as the Golden Fort, famous for its intricate carvings and unique blend of Hindu and Islamic styles, or the impressive Ranthambore Fort, each building offers a special window into Rajasthan's rich history of its nobility and social standing.
Dhiraj SrivastavaMeenakshi Yadav

https://journalspub.info/architecture/index.php?journal=ijah&page=article&op=view&path%5B%5D=1060

Documentation of heritage buildings through drawings is one of the traditional ways to preserve the tangible heritage of that monument. But detailed drawings are quite cumbersome and require a huge amount of time and effort. Traditional methods of documentation like photogrammetry, Tacheometry etc. may not end up giving accurate data. Recently, advanced technologies like laser scanning proved to be a quite effective tool in the fields of documentation. Laser scanning use laser light to capture the object in 3 dimensions and produces numerous points in millimetre precession. This data is helpful in preparing drawings accurately. In this paper, an attempt has been made to document one of the magnificent temples of Hoysala styles of architecture called the ‘Lakshminarayana temple’ located in Hosaholalu, in the state of Karnataka. Laser scanning has been used along with other traditional techniques to document the meticulous carving details on walls, plinth, ceiling and other architectural elements.
Shikha VermaAr K. https://journalspub.info/architecture/index.php?journal=ijah&page=article&op=view&path%5B%5D=1070

Temples have spiritual values but authors believe that there has to be some scientific explanation that builds its relationship with mythological roots. Temples have architectural and spiritual significance but the initial importance of the construction of each element of this significant structure remains unsung. This research aims to understand the relationship between scientific clarification and mythological description of Nagara- style temples present in the Himalayan region of Uttarakhand. To fulfill the purpose of this research, data was collected from various journals and publications along with case studies proved through interviews. A study was conducted which helped identify the evolution of temple architecture over time and context. The concept derivation of the temple was studied concerning ‘Vastu-Shastra’ and modern science. Every spatial element was separately explored to get information on its architecture, mythology, and usage by devotees.
By doing so, the cruciality of the temple can be retained and the connections with the origin can be maintained while trying to enhance the temple for better operation. This will assist modern science and architecture to maintain the spiritual vitality of the God-to-human sacred space to get utilized as they were at the beginning of their construction. The science linked to the mythology of the past temple does not only clarify the temples we see today but also gives a vision on what temples of the future should look like. This study will provide useful insights into the implacable changes for temples for their progressive development in the coming years.
Lavangika LavangikaAditya Bisht

https://journalspub.info/architecture/index.php?journal=ijah&page=article&op=view&path%5B%5D=1071

It is essential to create a space that nurtures calm and a spiritual experience while also taking care of function, whether the space is a church, temple, chapel, mosque, or synagogue, structures that have been constructed specifically for religious activities for centuries, or it can be anything else. Anywhere, much like the early Hindu era, where sages were worshipped and so there was no need for a temple to find peace. What characteristics define a sacred place in space? If so, is there a chance that could serve as a common ground for all different religious people? Designing and building sacred or purposeful spaces, such as churches, mosques, stupas, and temples, is a religious architectural practice known as
sacred architecture. Many cultures invested a lot of money in the construction of their temples and other sacred buildings. Among the most impressive and long-lasting monolithic structures made by humanity are places of worship. Any area or space that has been set aside for a holy (sacred) purpose is referred to as a sacred space. All the world’s religions and traditions place a strong emphasis on sacred space, and they all have special locations designated as holy that are used for worship, prayer,
and significant rituals. The name of this place varies depending on the religion (church, mosque, synagogue, sanctuary, temple, natural setting, etc.), but the idea is the same: it is a place where believers can have a unique and potent encounter with God.
Arpit Saxena
