Abstract

The importance of this project is to calculate the demand of water by forecasting the population of Taloja Phase- II, which is developing area and Design a Water distribution system that will provide adequate delivery of water to consumer for meeting their residential, commercial, industrial, and firefighting demands. In order to design, it is important to first obtain a plan of the area for which the water distribution system is to be prepared. The designing process not only requires maps of various study area but also knowledge of the terrain, hydraulics, cost considerations, sources of raw water etc. the analysis of the existing network, population and water demand obtained from the municipality will help us design a water distribution system keeping in view the population growth variations and rate of increase in water demands for the upcoming years. EPANET is the software used to analyse it.
