Gnaneswarignamcmda@gmail.comD. Karthigeyangnamcmda@gmail.com
Urban marketplace (also commonly known as the bazaar, traditional market, public market, etc.) has been recognized in published works as an important economic and cultural place for a city. It has its major wholesale trading activities located in the heart of the city. On-street parking of goods traffic as well as loading and unloading operations has severely affected operational efficiency of traffic and transportation especially in the CBD area. This study provides an insight into the probable impacts of this Development by concentrating on four major aspects namely transportation system socioeconomic set up local environment and local economy. The
developmental impact of urban infrastructure due to the presence of wholesale market is the main cause for selecting the study area of 18.63 sq.km consisting of twelve villages namely Koyambedu, Virugambakkam, Sencheri Nerkundram Saligrammam Arumbakkam, Puliyur, Maduravoyal,
Thirumangalam, Padikuppam, Naduvakkarai, and Mogappair village. These villages are located in Greater Chennai Corporation. In depth analysis of existing key infrastructure facilities that have been carried out through primary and secondary sources have led to the conclusion that vast
vacuum has occurred between the demand at present condition and future vision in the functioning of the market development especially road, public transport, water supply, sewer, solid waste management, electricity, and health services. A primary survey has been conducted with the local residents to take stock of the level of satisfaction of key infrastructures. A traffic survey has been conducted in major junctions of the study area and calculated the v/c ratio and traffic flow rate to conclude the requirement of road strength improving and deciding alternate route making. The key
issues identified are traffic congestion, internal traffic, space utilization, solid waste management, and pollution. The proposals were suggested based on the infrastructure aspects with new technologies to improve the present condition of the study area and also to face future vision.
2024-01-09T04:29:43+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 International Journal of Landscape Planning and Architecturehttps://journalspub.info/architecture/index.php?journal=JLPA&page=article&op=view&path%5B%5D=1126Innovations in Architecture Design Studio: Shaping Future Urban Spaces2024-01-09T05:10:53+00:00Shruti H. Kapurshrutihkapur@gmail.com
The field of architecture is undergoing a transformative evolution propelled by technological advancements, sustainability imperatives, and a shifting socio-cultural landscape. This abstract explores the innovative approaches within architecture design studios that are redefining the way architects conceive, develop, and implement their designs. Contemporary architecture design studios are increasingly integrating cutting-edge technologies, such as virtual reality (VR) and artificial intelligence (AI), to enhance the design process. The utilization of VR allows architects to immerse themselves in virtual environments, facilitating a more intuitive understanding of spatial relationships and user experiences. AI tools assist in data analysis, enabling architects to optimize designs for energy efficiency, occupant well-being, and ecological sustainability. Furthermore, the abstract delves into the collaborative nature of modern design studios. Interdisciplinary collaboration is becoming a cornerstone of architectural innovation, as architects engage with professionals from fields such as engineering, psychology, and
sociology. This cross-disciplinary approach ensures that designs not only meet aesthetic standards but also address the complex needs of diverse user groups. Sustainability is a key driver of innovation in contemporary architecture studios. The abstract explores how architects are integrating sustainable design principles from the initial conceptualization stage. From passive design strategies to the incorporation of renewable energy sources, the focus is on creating environmentally responsible and resilient structures
that harmonize with their surroundings. In conclusion, this abstract highlights the dynamic and forward-thinking nature of today's
architecture design studios. By embracing technological advancements, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and prioritizing sustainability, architects are shaping the future of urban spaces in ways that are responsive to the evolving needs of society.
2024-01-09T04:39:54+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 International Journal of Landscape Planning and Architecturehttps://journalspub.info/architecture/index.php?journal=JLPA&page=article&op=view&path%5B%5D=1129Planning and Management of Water for Green Building2024-01-09T05:10:53+00:00Prakash Chandra Tamrakarpctamrakar@rediffmail.com
Green buildings are designed, constructed and operated to improve the betterment of their occupants and support a healthy community and natural environment, as compare to a conventional building. Green rating has been started in many countries for the building. In India, three agencies have their own rating system. Water conservation, Water quality and conservation, Water conservation measures are among one from the
various criteria for rating of buildings. Though India has good monsoon and ample rainfall but several cities in India have become water stressed. Lack of proper drinking water facilities and contamination of water leads to outbreak of various epidemics like diarrhea, viral infection, malaria and many other infectious diseases. On other hand, during the monsoon, many States across India affected due to flood. Recurrent flood causes several
damage to various properties and infrastructure like transportation networks, electricity generation and distribution equipments, etc. in addition to outbreak of waterborne diseases. This paper is aiming to fill the lack of proper water facilities & avoid flood during Monsoon as per need of green building rating requirement. Water resource can be augmented through recharging of groundwater resources, rainwater harvesting, conservation of natural water resources like river water bodies etc., dual plumbing and recycling of waste water, as well as Sustainable Drainage Systems to focus on reducing nuisances from local flooding and waste
water.
2024-01-09T04:42:38+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 International Journal of Landscape Planning and Architecturehttps://journalspub.info/architecture/index.php?journal=JLPA&page=article&op=view&path%5B%5D=1127INTERIOR DESIGN THEMES FOR A LUXURY APARTMENT2024-01-09T05:10:53+00:00Areeba Zehra Zaidiareebazaidi51@gmail.comDeepti Pande Ranaareebazaidi51@gmail.com
The interior design theme for this luxury apartment encapsulates opulence and sophistication, creating a harmonious blend of modern elegance and timeless glamour.
