Documentation of Vernacular Architecture of Vohra Settlement

Abstract


The final result of this article is to explain and record the legacy constructions of Sidhpur town situated in Patan area of Gujrat via pictures, architectural drawings and writings. The Purpose behind the paper is to highlight is how they were created; who their creators were; what was the life during their prime. They were travelling around the world due to their trading business. Therefore, European Influence is very prominent in the architecture style of Sidhpur town in their building. There is a need to recognize, comprehend and examine these threats to destroy them. Set in a region where cultural traditions and religious orthodoxy are deeply and firmly rooted in the soil, the anglicized vocabulary of the houses at Sidhpur has been the subject of study.
