Abstract

Energy is the primary need of modern world and country cannot grow well without energy resources. Pakistan has potential of both renewable and nonrenewable energy resources but it is still developing country. The major portion of electricity generated by fuel, natural gas and coal in Pakistan and unfortunately the 40% fuel is imported from middle east to fulfill the need of country. Increase in the price of fuel ultimately cause the electricity expensive. Due to fuel increasing price the country badly faces electricity crisis. There is multiple reason behind elasticity crises. Weak decision making policies of 1990s, lack of technical facilities, Political issues, corruption in bills, social and economic objection of stakeholders and provincial Government on different projects. From these problems Pakistan facing serious electricity crisis.
